Weekly Update, 20th January
This week’s headlines:
Time Keeping
The gates open at 8:55am in the morning to give a 10 minute window for children to arrive and head into class. Classroom doors close at 9:05am as teachers need to take the registers and start teaching. If you arrive after this time, please go to reception to be allowed access to the building.
Please remember that late arrival will be classed as unauthorised absence.
PE kit
A reminder that PE kit is a plain t-shirt in the child’s house group colour and a dark, plain tracksuit. We are seeing some very colourful tops coming in at the moment! For full uniform details and suppliers please visit our website: Uniform Information | Old Dalby Church of England Primary School (olddalbyschool.org.uk)
If you are struggling to source items or are finding costs prohibitive, please contact Mrs Browne rbrowne@olddalbyschool.org.uk who has access to support for families. Any requests for additional support are always kept in the strictest confidence.

Our Vision
The start of a new year is a good time to reflect on what has been and what is to come. Following the last couple of years and how it has affected us all in different ways with different experiences, we are revisiting our vision and values to ensure they remain relevant.
Can you spare a couple of minutes to help us with this? Simply complete the form below to let us know your priorities for your children's education:

Community Meals – spaces still available
A group of local residents and businesses have offered to fund meals for up to 30 children in KS2 with the intention of offering a little extra support to local families. There are still spaces available.
Please contact Mrs Browne: rbrowne@olddalbyschool.org.uk to sign up for the scheme or for further information.
Your child does not need to have a school meal every day to sign up for the scheme.

An email has gone out this week with the full details of events and timings. There is a fun run for children in Year 1 and 2, as well as competitive events for children in Years 3 – 6. An email was sent with full details on Monday. You can sign up through Arbor so Mrs Bryan knows who to expect.
