Here is some brief information about what we will be covering this term in Nightingale Class.

Summer 1 & 2

Maths: Mass and capacity, time, statistics

English: Information texts, narrative writing, poetry

Science: Habitats, microhabitats and plants

Geography: Understand the difference between natural and man-made, use a key on a map, compare land use

SRE: Feelings, friendships, making mistakes

Music: Tuned and untuned instruments

Art: Wallpaper design, textures and techniques

Artists: Orla Keily, William Morris 

DT: Create a sculpture in the style of Sir Antony Mark David Gormley

Year 3's will also continue with their recorder lessons every Friday morning.

At home we ask if you could support your child with their reading (3 times a week), help practise times tables and complete the spelling and reading comprehension homework with your child. Below are some resources that may help your child with their learning at home as well as the common exception words for Year 2 and 3. Thank you for your continued support
