Please note that our last day of term is Wednesday, 21^st December which is later than some local schools. The children will return to school on Monday, 9^th January.

 

Mince pies – can you help?

We are asking for donations of mince pies to be sold at the Christmas Shopping Evening next Thursday, 17^th November. If you are able to help, please send them in to school by the end of Tuesday – thank you!

 

Christmas Shopping Evening – Thursday, 17^th November, doors open at 7pm

We have some lovely stalls lined up ...silverlincsdesigns jewellery, Flossie & Fred, Body Shop, Happy Bunny Candles, Smartsy Glass to name but a few. Please save the date and bring your friends and family along, entry is free.

 

Scholastic Book Fair

There are still plenty of books available if you would like to get some early Christmas presents! Children will have time to visit during the school day but parents are very welcome at the end of the day too, you can pay by cash, cheque or through Arbor, by topping up School Shop.

Monday is the last day to purchase books.

 

Rags to Riches, Old Clothes Collection – Monday, 14^th November

On Monday, 14^th November we will be collecting old clothes to raise funds for school. Bags should have come home last week, please send them back in to school on  Monday morning.

 

Children In Need – Friday, 18^th November

To raise awareness for Children In Need, our Prefects have asked that everyone come to school in pyjamas next Friday. We shall spend the morning in classes and then have a whole school film afternoon.

We will be collecting voluntary donations for Children In Need.

Class 5 will have PE in the morning, so will need shorts and t-shirts, they can bring their pyjamas to change into afterwards!

 

Sports Club, 3^rd- 6^th January

Thank you to those who replied to our survey about a sports club in January. We have had a lot of interest so we will be going ahead with this. Please see the attached information about how to book etc. This is completely independent of school, they will handle all of the booking and queries etc through their own webpage: https://sportscoolleicester.schoolipal.co.uk

 

Winter Support Survey

Thank you to those who completed our Winter Support survey. I shall pass on your feedback and we’ll let you know what we can arrange, as soon as we can.

 

Boogie Woogie Nativity

Information about how to book tickets for the KS1 performances will come out soon. Performances will be at 2pm on Tuesday, 6^th December and 10am on Wednesday, 7^th December. There will be no cost for tickets.

 

PTA Children’s Christmas Fair – CANCELLED

This event has been cancelled this year as we are all very conscious of the current financial climate and don’t wish to add any more financial pressures.

 

After School Club Bookings

Please make sure you book your child(ren) into before or after school club using Arbor, or by contacting the Office, at least 24 hours in advance to help us make sure there is capacity, correct staffing and enough food!

We do understand there might be emergencies where you need to contact us on the day but otherwise please give as much notice as possible.
