Project Inspiration Station
PROJECT INSPIRATION STATION … is Old Dalby School PTA’s £15,000 fundraising project to raise funds to erect a new learning hub within the school grounds; this will be used as a therapeutic and intervention space where pupils of Old Dalby Church of England Primary School can receive emotional or academic support required to look after their mental and educational health. Since COVID 19 invaded our lives, it is recognised that a safe, quiet space is essential for children struggling with returning to school after lockdown. These sessions are currently taking place in busy communal areas, none of which are quiet, or private!
The space will also be used as a learning opportunity about sustainable living; it will be a wooden framed building on which we hope to install solar panels and a weather station so that the children can develop an understanding of the environment and how to look after it.
The project was launched in April 2021, raising funds by selling balloons in a virtual balloon race starting from Westminster Abbey on June 2nd, 2021.
Many other fundraising events will be organised by Old Dalby School PTA, so keep an eye on our events calendar and follow Old Dalby School social media pages to find out the latest.
