Online safety

As we head into dark nights and cold weather, children may be spending more time online. There are many safe ways for children to play online, but there are also sites and apps which may need closer monitoring. The webpage also contains information about monitoring in-game chats and how to set up and review parental controls. Guides include:  Youtube, Instagram, Minecraft, Fortnite, TikTok, Snapchat, Roblox. Rags to Riches

If you are having a clear out remember to save any items for our Rags to Riches collection on 27^th November and help raise funds for the school. Bags to fill have been sent home and can be brought in to school when filled, on the morning of the 27^{th of} November. Please do not bring them in beforehand, as we have nowhere to store them.

 

We need clean, decent quality, reusable clothing. Shoes and footwear, jewellery and accessories, belts, and handbags. We cannot accept, toys, books, dirty clothes, pillows, duvets, uniform etc. Thank you.

 

29^th November – School Council Fundraiser for Air Ambulance – Toys please

Student Councillors would like to arrange a second-hand toy sale at lunch time on 29^th November. If you have any toys to donate, please bring them in from Thursday 28^th. Thank you.

 

FLU Immunisations

If you have not already done so, if you wish for your child to have the flu immunisation (a spray, squirted up each nostril) consent is required via www.leicsandrutlandimms.co.uk    The school code is LE140095  If you cannot complete the form online please telephone 0300 300 0007   Without your consent your child will not receive the immunisation.

 

Lunchtime Club

 

In the coming weeks, our newest member of staff, Miss Brooks, is going to be starting a lunchtime club which will offer a variety of arts and crafts for children who need a break from the busy playground.

We are on the look out for the following items to enable us to offer a broad range of activities:

Knitting needles, crochet needles, needles and thread, cushions, board games, Lego or construction sets and lots of old newspaper

If you have any of these and would be willing to donate them, we would be very grateful!
